parliamentEWN reports that Parliament's management has issued a terse statement, chiding employees who refused to allow secretary for Parliament Gengezi Mgidlana to address a staff meeting.

Parliament said Tuesday’s behaviour was unacceptable and would not be tolerated.  Mgidlana walked out of the gathering when National Education Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) members sang songs and ignored his calls to continue with the meeting, held to discuss Parliament’s strategy.  The union claims Mgidlana is avoiding outstanding issues related to a strike that took place late last year.  It is a vocal critic of Mgidlana, accusing him of abusing his power and reneging on collective agreements.
