News24 reports that the National Education Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) said on Tuesday that Parliament's secretary, Gengezi Mgidlana, would not be allowed to address workers until he dealt with issues affecting employees.  

This was after Mgidlana walked out of a staff meeting, where Nehawu members sang revolutionary songs, refusing to let him speak.  The issues in contention include salary deductions that have not been reversed and reduced performance scores.  Nehawu's Parliament branch chairperson Sthembiso Tembe said:  "He cannot just come to address us as if nothing has happened."  Parliament slammed the "behaviour of the few members aligned to Nehawu".
