Business Report writes that trade union Solidarity said on Monday that hospital group Netcare had postponed the planned centralisation of its credit control department in order to allow the parties to consult properly.
Netcare was planning to centralise the credit control functions of its hospitals in phases to one site by June 2017. Solidarity’s Johan Botha explained that his union, in collaboration with Hospersa (Health and Other Service Personnel Trade Union of SA), tipped the scales to get the proposed centralisation postponed for now. The other trade unions concerned, namely the Democratic Nursing Organisation of SA (Denosa) and the National Education Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu), have also decided to oppose the centralisation process.
