The central executive committee of labour federation Cosatu begins its three-day quarterly meeting on Monday, with the coming local government elections as well as the economic and political situation and organisational issues high on the agenda.  On Tuesday, Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant will release reports into the collapse of Tongaat Mall and the Meyersdal Residence at a briefing after her budget vote speech in the National Council of Provinces.  Members of Parliament’s police committee will be briefed on Wednesday by the SA Police Service amongst other things on progress in implementing the recommendations of the Farlam Commission of Inquiry into the 2012 Marikana tragedy.
