Samwu and Ekurhuleni spat over dismissed shop stewards rages on

The SA Municipal Workers’ Union and Ekurhuleni metropolitan municipality are set for a fresh episode in their battle over seven shop stewards who were fired for disrupting proceedings of a council meeting last year. Two of the stewards have been reinstated following an arbitrator’s award, but the union says it will fight on for the reinstatement of all seven.
