The Department of Labour has been forced to shut down its regional offices in Sebokeng in the Vaal Triangle because slack internal processes resulted in more than R10,000 being owed for rent. The landlord, Cosmos Management, resolved to padlock the offices after almost six months of notices. The Department of Public Works, which is the responsible department, also failed to submit a lease renewal agreement to the landlord timeously.
