Gigaba: Whoa with the big bonuses Eskom!

‘Take it easy with management bonuses’ was Friday’s message to Eskom from Malusi Gigaba, Minister of Public Enterprises. The total paid out to the utility’s board and management team last year amounted to R54 million. According to Gigaba, government as the utility’s shareholder has expressed dissatisfaction about the bonus dispensation and wants a more controlled approach in light of the great inequalities in the country.
