Gold One gets court order against protesters at Modder East mine

The Gauteng High Court has granted Gold One an interdict protecting the company from further violent protests at its Modder East operations, near Springs. The order was granted against the Professional Transport and Allied Workers’ Union (Ptawu), the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and 1,035 former employees who were dismissed for participating in an unprotected strike.
