The Legal Resources Centre last week filed an urgent high court application to compel the Minister Basic of Education, her department and others to fully fill 64,752 teaching posts in the Eastern Cape. This relates to the failure to implement the 2012 educator post establishment in the province, the failure to appoint teachers to vacant substantive posts and the failure to appoint temporary teachers to those posts pending implementation of the post establishment.
