Employees of Komatiland Forests, who went on a wage strike last Monday in Mpumalanga and other provinces under the banner of the Food and Allied Workers’ Union (Fawu), have raised their concerns with the provincial department of economic development, environment and tourism. The department has urged the parties to return to the negotiation table to resolve their impasse. It has also voiced its concern over reports that plantations have been burned during the strike.
