Cosatu “engaging vigorously” to defeat labour law amendments

Cosatu provided information yesterday on its special Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting held earlier this week, which discussed e-tolling, labour law amendments, the federation’s relations with its alliance partners and May Day celebrations. The CEC reiterated that labour broker must be completely banned and opposed a return to a compulsory strike ballots and other strike-related amendment proposals. It says it is discussing the labour law amendments with the ANC and will be “engaging vigorously” to defeat them.
