Police officers guilty of gross abuse of sick leave

The chairwoman of Parliament’s police oversight committee has called for doctors who help police officers abuse sick leave to be investigated after shocking levels of absenteeism came to light. Abuse of sick leave has been identified as the number one risk to the organisation and a “health risk manager” has been appointed to refer serial absentees to “neutral” doctors.
