Sactwu declares wage dispute in worsted textile sector

Following three rounds of negotiations, a wage dispute in the worsted textiles sector was declared yesterday by the SA Clothing and Textile Workers' Union and the matter will now be referred for conciliation. At the conclusion of talks, employers were offering a 6.25% wage increase, while the union was demanding 8.5%.
