Sactwu declares wage dispute in cotton textiles sector

The SA Clothing and Textile Workers' Union yesterday declared a wage dispute in the cotton textiles sector by referring the matter to the National Textile Bargaining Council, which covers some 5,000 textile workers employed in 52 factories nationally. The union is demanding a 10.5% wage increase against the 2.5% offered by employers.
