Adorp states that its employment data suggest that, all else being equal, successful affirmative action candidates for jobs receive a wage premium, which it terms an “affirmative action premium”. The premium for blacks above their white counterparts is now 23.1%, and 36.4% for black females. The analysis is based on information for only 1,604 permanent placements for the 12-month period June 2011 to May 2012.
