Are you losing company data when you lose staff?

Australian-based Human Capital magazine reports that a study by the Ponemon Institute has found that some 60% of workers who quit or are made redundant take company information with them when they go, despite being aware that their contracts forbids it. The most common thefts are email lists, non-financial business information, customer contact lists and employee records. Some 16% take financial information too.
