ANC wants all graduates to undertake compulsory state internships

All tertiary students should be compelled do an internship in the service of the state after graduating, the ANC proposed at its policy conference this week. While not providing details, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande indicated that the service would be similar to the internship served by medical graduates in state hospitals and would be no less than one year.
