Cosatu corrects news reports that federation will intensify Implats strike

Cosatu North West has issued a statement to correct reports made by SABC and E-TV that the federation would intensify the strike at Impala Platinum. It says that at a mass meeting yesterday, its general secretary was clear that the federation and the NUM supported the workers’ demands and that they would be taken up with management, but he repeatedly requested workers to go back to work and warned that their action was unprotected and illegal.
