Cosatu under pressure to switch allegiance from ITUC to WFTU

Cosatu is under pressure from some of its affiliates to disassociate itself from the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) in favour of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU). Its affiliates Nehawu, Numsa, Ceppwawu and Popcru, which are against ITUC's political outlook, are members of WFTU and are hosting the WFTU presidential council in Johannesburg at the moment.
