Durban metro cops’ grievances to be investigated in face of ‘mass action’ threat

The eThekwini municipality executive committee yesterday mandated the city manager to investigate grievances of protesting metro police officers. He will elect a task team consisting of city administrators to assist with the investigation. This comes after metro officers downed tools on Thursday, threatening to embark on a “mass action” protest if their demands were not met.
