fawuBusiness Report writes that the Food and Allied Workers Union (Fawu) said on Friday that employees were expected to resume duties on Tuesday following agreement with the Tiger Brands Group for a basic wage increase of 8% across the board.  

The agreement came after four weeks of industrial action in which workers of Tiger Beverages, a subsidiary of Tiger Brands, were demanding a 9% wage increase.  Agreement was also reached to increase housing and travelling allowances by 10.77%, while 15 seasonal workers will be hired permanently.
