boardroomtableSABC News reports that talks to end the ongoing wage strike in the petroleum sector have been adjourned until next week.  

Union members downed tools nearly two weeks ago and the strike has led to some fuel shortages at filling stations.  Employers affiliated to the National Petroleum Employers' Association (NPEA) on Friday met leaders of the Chemical Energy Paper Printing Wood and Allied Workers Union (Ceppwawu) in Johannesburg.  NPEA deputy chairperson Zimisele Majamane indicated:  “The talks are still continuing, the meeting was adjourned on Friday.  We will be meeting again on Monday, the parties are still talking.  We couldn’t agree and both parties are optimistic - we looking forward to continuing on Monday.”
